Thomas was born in Hobart and moved to the United States in 1998 where he spent his childhood growing up. He attended Georgia State University in 2008 where he earned a Bachelor of Computer Science in 2012. In his junior year of University, Thomas took up a role working for a network security firm in Atlanta Georgia where he worked for the next 3 years giving him a solid foundation for the IT industry. In 2013 he moved back to Tasmania to be closer to his family.
Thomas has spent the last 8 years in the corporate IT sector and brings a wealth of technical expertise, a great business acumen, and a strong passion for IT to Fahan. His previous employers include DXC technologies and Dell - both listed on the NYSE - and in 2017 was sent to New Zealand to assist Fonterra with transitioning IT process’s over a 2-week period.
Thomas loves Fahan because it allows him to work for a great cause and support Tasmania’s future. He is excited to take what he has learned in the corporate world to ensure Fahan succeeds and leads the way within the educational IT sector. He has many hobbies and interests and is an avid gardener, enjoys scuba diving and mountaineering, and plays viola.
