Jake completed an Engineering degree in 2010 and after working in church ministry for a year, he and his wife, Jessica, moved overseas. They taught English in the Czech Republic for two years: a wonderful experience for Jake. Upon returning to Tasmania and taking a position as a Resident Fellow at Jane Franklin Hall, Jake completed a Master of Teaching specialising in Mathematics and Science. Jake taught at Kingston High School before joining Fahan as a Maths and Science teacher.
Jake relishes the challenge of communicating new and complex concepts in an engaging and understandable way.
Jake enjoys many sporting pursuits, plays the guitar and is learning the piano. He and Jessica have two children, Oscar and Charlie.
“Fahan is a wonderful learning environment that allows time and space to dig deep into understanding new concepts in Maths and Science and hopefully I can pass on my passion for this to the students.”
