After completing a Bachelor of Arts at UTAS with majors in Japanese and Chinese in 1998, Cheree spent a number of years doing further study overseas and working as a bi-lingual travel agent for Japanese companies in Osaka and Melbourne.
Returning to Tasmania in 2005 Cheree gained a Bachelor of Teaching with majors in LOTE and Humanities from UTAS and started working at Fahan teaching Japanese in 2006. Cheree has taught a range of subjects including English, History & Geography, EAL/D and Health.
From 2015 Cheree has worked in the Senior Library as a Teacher Librarian. During this time, she has completed a Masters of Education in Teacher Librarianship. “I am excited to be working in the Senior Library and being part of a team that supports teachers and students to access resources and to develop competence in information and digital literacy, an essential requirement of the 21st century!”
