Alex completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Tasmania and began her teaching career at Launceston Church Grammar School, where she taught for two years and gained her teaching degree by distance education through Charles Sturt University in NSW. Alex then took up a full time teaching position at Scotch Oakburn College in Launceston, where she taught Art in the Middle and Senior School. After working there for six years, she left to become a full time parent to her two children.
Alex returned to her home of Hobart in 2009 with her young family to teach Art at Fahan and thoroughly enjoys her role as the Arts Coordinator and teacher of Art in the Senior School.
“As a past student of Fahan, it is wonderful to now be teaching at the school, which has influenced and shaped my life direction so strongly.”
