Twenty-three lucky students from Fahan School recently embarked on an exciting educational journey through France, exploring the rich history, culture, and beauty of this remarkable country.
Their adventure began in Paris, where they visited iconic landmarks such as the Louvre and Arc de Triomphe. They also had the opportunity to experience the beauty of the Jardins du Luxembourg and the charm of Montmartre.
In Montmartre, they wandered through cobbled streets, visited the Place du Tertre, and admired the stunning Basilique du Sacré-Cœur. They also experienced the breathtaking views of Paris from the top of the Tour Eiffel at night.
Continuing their journey, the students visited the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Château de Versailles and the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Chartres, gaining insight into France's rich history and architectural wonders.
The students then traveled through the French countryside, exploring historic cities like Poitiers, Limoges, and Carcassonne, before arriving in the picturesque city of Toulouse.
In Montpellier, the students immersed themselves in the local culture, attending French lessons, exploring the city, and enjoying homestay experiences with French families. Local excursions included visits to Aigues-Mortes, Nimes and Sete.
After a memorable journey filled with learning and adventure, the students returned to Paris for their final night, where they enjoyed a cruise on the Seine before bidding farewell to this beautiful country.
The trip was a fantastic opportunity for the students to broaden their horizons, deepen their understanding of French culture, and create lasting memories. Thank you to our wonderful staff members for looking after our girls so well and ensuring they all had an unforgettable French experience and an amazing adventure!
