On Thursday 7 November, we celebrated the opening of the TCE Art Exhibition in the TM Hall.
The artwork on display was diverse, with many mediums utilised including installations of sculptures, painting, drawing, printmaking, digital photography and video. The exhibition launch was attended by over 100 people who enjoyed drinks and canapés whilst viewing work by 25 Year 11 and 12 Art Production and Studio Practice students from Fahan.
“Once again, the Art students’ excelled and showcased their originality and creativity this year for the final exhibition. It was a challenge to fit them all into the TM Hall. There were 25 bodies of work to display, and the Maintenance staff were very busy constructing extra spaces to accommodate everyone. The complexity and diversity of their artwork continues to amaze me. This cohort of girls are thoroughly deserving of their success this year. Each student has invested so much energy and dedication into the subject, and I am extremely proud of each of them,” said Art’s Co-ordinator, Miss Alex Pitt.
The Exhibition forms part of the required course work for the students and a panel of external judges will view the works and apply assessment ratings. The works need to show a creative concept, be cohesive and show supporting documentation.
The Exhibition will be on display in the TM Hall during office hours until 20 November. Please note, visitors must sign in at Reception prior to visiting the Exhibition.
