19 December 2016
2016 TCE results have been released and we are pleased to advise that our girls’ results are up there with the best in the country.
Most importantly, we are very proud of the efforts of the entire Year 12 class, 95% of whom achieved an ATAR score. The achievements of all the girls who produced their best efforts across the spectrum are to be commended, as are the dedicated teachers who have guided them so expertly over the course of their time at Fahan.
Some key achievements include:
· Fahan’s median ATAR, a key indicator of the level of the girls’ overall performance, was 92.18, meaning that 50% of our students earned results that placed them in the top 7.8% of students nationally.
· An outstanding 23% of our girls obtained ATARs of 98+.
· 34% of our girls achieved an ATAR of 95+, placing them in the top 5% of students nationally
· An amazing 61% of our students achieved an ATAR of 90+, placing them in the top 10% of students nationally
These are wonderful results for the girls, their families and the School, placing Fahan alongside the leading schools in Australia.
The following girls achieved outstanding ATARs of 97 or above: Olivia Young 99.7, Chun Yu 99.35, Claire Ferguson 99.1, Marina Beck 98.8, Emily McMann 98.8, Isabella Hickling 98.35, Emmeline Van Beek 98.35, Jemima Barker 98.2, Melanie Johnson 98.2, Hannah Edgell 98.15, Grace Beck 97.85, Alex Brosnan 97.3.
Overall, this set of results is one of the best achieved by a group of Fahan students, which is remarkable considering that, based on figures on the TASC website, over the last nine years, Fahan already has the highest percentage of students achieving ATARs, as well as the highest mean ATAR scores, of any school in the State.
Congratulations to the 2016 girls who led the School so well during the year and their dedicated teachers who have guided them to achieve such wonderful results.
