22 December 2015
2015 TCE results have been released and we are pleased to advise that our girls’ results are up there with the best in the country.
Most importantly, we are very proud of the efforts of the entire Year 12 class, 100% of whom achieved an ATAR score. The achievements of all the girls who produced their best efforts across the spectrum are to be commended, as are the dedicated teachers who have guided them so expertly over the course of their time at Fahan.
When assessing a cohort’s results a key indicator of the level of academic achievement is the School’s median ATAR. Some key achievements include:
· Fahan’s median ATAR was 92.5, meaning that 50% of our students’ achieved results that placed them in the top 7.5% of students nationally.
· 33% of our girls achieved an ATAR of 95+, placing them in the top 5% of students nationally
· An amazing 63% of our students achieved an ATAR of 90+, placing them in the top 10% of students nationally
These are wonderful results for the girls, their families and the School, placing Fahan alongside the leading schools in Australia.
The following girls achieved outstanding ATARs of 97 or above: Isobel Dunbabin 99.85, Meghan Young 99.4, Ella Thomas 98.6, Kate Johnson 98.45, Sarah Grace 98.3, Meg Jones 97.25.
Overall the results are probably the best achieved by a group of Fahan students, which is remarkable considering that, based on figures on the TASC website, over the last seven years, Fahan girls already have the highest percentage of students achieving ATARs as well as the highest mean ATAR scores over this period.
Congratulations to the 2015 girls who led the School so well during the year and their dedicated teachers who have guided them to achieve such wonderful results.
