This week has seen some great sporting successes for the Fahan School Senior Athletics Team who competed in the Southern SATIS Athletics Carnival at the Domain.

Girls from Years 7 through to 12 braved the wet weather and bought home some pleasing results including the Pennant for winning the Under 13 Division, the Open Girls Trophy and were placed 3rd in the Overall Girl’s Trophy.

There were a number of impressive performances by the girls across all age groups including two exciting new record breakers.

Olivia Browning from Year 7 is now the new record holder for the Javelin.

Tessa Johns from Year 8 took out first place and a new record in the 1500m.

Jessica Robinson from Year 7 also took out a number of place wins including 1st in the 800m and 1500m.

These are some exciting results in the lead up to the SATIS Carnival being held this Saturday October 15 at the Domain, which includes teams from throughout the State.

Congratulations to all the girls whom participated on the day and a special thanks to Emily Hogan and Rob Owens for their ongoing commitment to training the girls. The girls’ success on the field is tribute to the ongoing support, dedication and enthusiasm they receive from Fahan staff.

Thank you to Clare Browne, Year 12 Sports Chair, Kathy Foster, Sports Coordinator and all staff and parents that assisted on the day.
